Accessories on rotation: a feline state of mind

I am constantly reaching for these sassy little details as I head out the door each day.

Here are some classics and newbies that I am kind of obsessed with right now. As Palermo says, accessories are the most important part of an outfit as they add a personal touch. I have to say accessorising isn't an intuitive thing for me. I prefer to keep things minimal and understated in that department, mainly due to laziness but also plainly because I don't necessarily think that bolder jewellery or even statement heels suit me. It's usually quite random and I let the accessory kind of jump out at me rather than seek out the perfect pair of sunnies or forever wrist-wear. Laziness often feeds into having a bias for pieces I can wear from office to outings. Putting motives aside (and detracting from the fact that on Palermo's account my personal touch might be "meh" slash "whatever takes up less time to put on and match") allow me to introduce the current five favs.

1. The easy slide sandal.

These cara espradille slides by Seed are super comfy (leather upper - winning) and super easy to slide into. The leopard print gets along just fine with all of the black in my wardrobe. Best part was that I snapped them up for a stupid price of $19 -  and they are still on sale online - yay!

 2. Mid finger rings

I am for the most part pretty disinterested when it comes to rings but there is something punk and fabulous about having bling on either side of the knuckle. These are some "dirty gold" ones from colette. Slightly lame that they fall off way too easily but at least they look adorable while in action.

3. The Mistress Sunglasses

I love love LOVE these sunnies for winter. They are so demure and purr-worthy and don't make one look like a tool for wearing shades on overcast days! Hot to trot from Sportsgirl at $29.95 - if you're as clumsy and forgetful as me you probably don't fork out hundreds for eyewear that you're going to accidentally leave on the car seat and sit on or casually let drop off your head whenever you bend over.  Anyway, at prices like these you can practically treat them as disposable no?

Here's Kate casually standing around all fabulous with her cat eye pair - you boot scooting effortless minx you.

4.  Slingback loafers - where have you been all of my life?

Granted I am still going though the painful and blistering process of breaking into these babies,  they are a great source of feet pride and strutt-spiration - I take that second one back, currently dying trying to walk normally with these on let alone rocking an amateur catwalk - anyhoo MIMCO definitely got it right - as a "balance between the slightly androgynous and the distinctly feminine" these sling-backs make for perfect professional footwear as well as slick high street tappers.

5. Perfect timing

To save the best for last, here we have the most coveted and loved of all details - the Larsson & Jennings Läder suede and gold-plated watch. There is about a 90% likelihood that this is going to be wrapped around my wrist on any given day i.e. i can't get enough of it - the simple and neat design and the ginormous size of the face. It's elegant without being too dainty and sharp without being too severe..yes I have thought about this watch, alot!

Which little hotties are you crushing on right now?
